The University-Based Publishing Futures community can be found in an associated Group on Knowledge Commons (KC), an open and interdisciplinary network for collaboration “built by, for, and with the academic community.” Come and join us there!
First: Create a KC account
To join UBPF you will need a Knowledge Commons account—learn how to set that up.
If you already have a registered account on one of the KC-affiliated networks such as UP Commons (for AUPresses members), MLA Commons, HASTAC, MSU Commons, or others, you already have a Knowledge Commons account!
Second: Request to join the UBPF Group
Navigate to the University-Based Publishing Futures Group and click the button to request to join. An administrator of the Group will approve your request as soon as possible.
KC has a plethora of useful guides and resources about how to use Group functionality and adjust your settings to match your needs.
Third: Join a working group
Initially UBPF will support two working groups:
- Knowledge Sharing
- Advocacy
