Institutional Groups & Organizations

Sign on to the community formation statement

We welcome any university-based publishing program, institution, or coalition to become a signatory on our community formation statement.

Becoming a signatory indicates that your group is engaged in or is supporting university-based publishing and that it endorses the shared values listed in the statement. Signatories are listed on the UBPF website, and are encouraged to make their UBPF community membership visible on their own websites. (To that end, we will provide signatories with logos and other instructions.)

New signatories will be approved by the UBPF organizers, but the intention is for this to be a broad, opt-in coalition. Examples of organizational signatories could include: university presses, library publishers, faculty-run journals, professional associations, consortia, committees and working groups.

Encourage your employees/members to get involved

Whether or not you sign on to the statement, we invite you to share information about UBPF with your employees/members and encourage them to get involved!

Become an organizer

While the goal is for UBPF to eventually be a self-organizing community, its launch and initial activities are being supported by the Association of University Presses and the Library Publishing Coalition. These two member communities are currently providing logistical and facilitation support to help establish the community, but would love to broaden the support for this effort. If your organization is invested in the future of university-based publishing and wants to support the activities of this community, please reach out to begin a conversation.
